Our feedback was overall positive, the aesthetic and playful approach to the stop motion worked and was successful. However, we needed to rethink the length of time the information appeared on screen for our audience to read. The tutors suggested that the typeface did not reflect the playfulness and style of the video. We also needed to consider orphans, layout and type placement.
Improvements
Taking on board all feedback it pushed the development forward. We originally used the typeface ‘Akzidenz Grotesk’ however feedback suggested it was to corporate. We experimented with more friendly playful fonts. ‘Fredoka One’ seemed most appropriate, it has a round bubbly form however still legible.
By splitting the text into multiple slide sequences, it allowed the information to have more of an impact and for our audience to read the information easier.
